Can the Pistons Pull an Upset?

In a NCAA tournament this year full of upsets in March (Read why March Madness is the Greatest postseason of all sports here),  basketball fans await to see how this years NBA playoffs turn out. While the top seed almost always win their respective series, there have been major upsets that shake everything up in the postseason.

One of the first round series is the Pistons and Cavaliers. In game 1, we witnessed a back and forth affair between the two teams which eventually turned into the Cavs taking the game. However this Pistons team showed that they can match up well and could probably pull a game or two.

Pistons have many stars like Reggie Jackson

Yet even though the Cavs are the favorite, the Pistons have many players that can match up to LeBron (Stanley Johnson or Tobias Harris), Kyrie Irving with Reggie Jackson, and Kevin Love with Andre Drummond. Another thing to keep in mind is that this was probably the best game for all of the Big 3 in Cleveland.

If this was their best game, they can't expect to win too many games. Kevin Love turned back the clock to his Minnesota days, and LeBron and Kyrie were just LeBron and Kyrie. The Pistons were very close in this game on the road, which means they have a great chance to win some games at home.

In the end, I still think the Cavs got the series, but I do think that the Pistons will take it to 5 or 6 games if they continue to play this well. Even though this was the best overall game for the Big 3 together, their role players didn't play that well. But if the Cavs have this much trouble getting past a Pistons team that hasn't been in the Playoffs for seven years, how will they fare deeper into the Postseason?
